Will I get my ex's taxes since he's behind in support?
My ex owes me back support. He received a letter saying the taxes would go to me, but I haven't rcieved it yet. I'm on ssi/ssdi and daughter is covered with buckeye insurance. Who will get the 1,200 dollars?
    Thank you,
    Molly

If he received a letter saying it'd go to you, then it goes to you.

The time frame for you getting it depends on a couple things:

When did he file his taxes? If he filed at the last minute, it always takes those a little longer to be processed due to the volume.

Do you receive a paper check or direct deposit for your support payments? You will get the payment in the same form so if you get a paper check for child support, it will take longer for you to get a paper check for his tax return.

Also, please recognize that the payments have to be routed through the courts, which always takes more time than it should.
