    Gater snapin turtle
    :confused: I have an aligater snaping turtle and I think she is about 4-5 months old at what stage do they start snaping at people?

    You'll know when you lose a digit or two. Seriously, it is when they approach a year that you have to watch out for your fingers. If you wish to keep it after it gets to be a year just remember to keep your fingers/hands away from the business end of the shell and you two will be just fine.
