1999 Honda Accord won't start, was running 5 minutes ago.
After parking for 5 minutes, my 1999 Honda Accord LX won't start. It was running fine, far as I could tell. Now, it won't turn over and won't jump off. I don't hear the starter clicking, and after attempting to jump off, I smacked the still connected cables together and got no arc, so battery was dead. Do I just need a new battery? Or is it the alternator, or both? Or maybe a problem with the ignition or the starter? Please help.

    Likely, just a new battery.

Thanks TXGreaseMonkey! I replaced battery and it's fine. Didn't want to spend $100 on a battery and it be something else. I do appreciate the reply.
