    Hi! I was wondering what's the specific heat of water in liquid phase? :confused:

    The specific heat of water is 1 cal/g°C.

    This means it will take energy in the amount of one calorie to raise the temperature of one gram of water by one degree Celsius.

    This is a relatively high specific heat compared to other substances.

    specific heat capacity = energy required to change the tempature of 1kg block by 1 degree that's exact
