It's been draining slowly for days until it stopped all together. I'm already used draino followed by boiling water. When that didn't work I read that baking soda and vinegar might work, so I tried that followed by boiling water. I've felt the pipes, they don't feel warm under the t section so can I assume that's where the clog is? I've read through some of the other topics, wanted to know what I should buy.

Draino, and other chemicals isn't going to work on this. You need to buy a small hand auger and send it into the pipe that goes into the wall benieth sink. Just know that this can be a very messy job, so cover anything under sink and outside of sink. Hope this helps, I'm sure one or more of the other pros here will give you better details about doing this.

It is not safe to mix chemicals in the drain line so be very careful what you use. If your pipe is black ABS there are some chemicals that will melt it, so read the instructions.

If the drano you used was a crystal drano you should not have use hot water after putting it into the drain as hot water makes the drano solidify and then is very hard to get out of the pipes.

Sorry, it was actually Liquid Plumber Gel. The pipes directly under the sink are white, not sure about the rest.

I think the best thing you could do now is to buy a 25ft 1/4 inch cable and try to go down the basket strainer in the sink with the cable, just keep turning it into the pipe until it unstops or the cable is all used.

I'll go with MGD and the auger and you are much better off disconnecting the drains and rodding directly into the lateral pipe coming from the wall. You will frequently hit a 90 degree bend so you may have to drop down to a 1/4" snake. The biggest issue is how to safely get any remaining chemicals out of the trap. Did you ever try plunging while covering the other drain? This slowly closed up so we probably are not looking at any large chunks of debris or extensive clog.

I did before adding the gel and the rest. It didn't seem to help.

You're referring to plunging and not snaking correct? Follow Bobs advice, get a hand snake, remove the "J" bend from the trap and send your snake up into the wall.(see image). As bob pointed out there's a bend just inside the wall line but once around that you only have 6 more feet of snake to put out. Good luck, Tom
