I want to get back, but I have to work on some stuff.
Hey guys,
My girlfriend and I broke up. She said that in the last week I became Clingy and Dramatic, which is true because I haven't had a relationship in high-school and I didn't want to mess things up. Well I did because she is a very secretive person who hates basic PDA (Holding hands, Hugging and a Peck on the cheek). I want to get back with her, but I won't be destroyed if she says no. I want to get over my clinginess and my dramatic attitude because I think its worthwhile for myself and for my up coming relationships in my life. So, my question is... How can I prove to myself and to her that I'm getting over it. She said that I needed to work on it and talk to her after I have done a full purification of my issues. Thanks
-Will

Work on your issues for yourself, not her. She has some issues too, my friend, that could use some work.
Its not just you.

You can work on your issues by leaving her alone. There are plenty of females who have no problem with holding hands and a peck on the cheek in public. Sounds like she has made HER issues yours.

I didn't really mind the pda because she lives one block from me and we always hung out. But were doing community service together this summer and ill be right next to her for 10 days straight. I just want to I guess prove I'm over it EVEN if she says no. Because I don't want this in another relationship.

I think the part of the problem my be her.
I still think you should leave her alone and you'd be better off.

Your affectionate but she isn't. Then you stated she is secretive--what is that all about?
It doesn't seem like the two of you are match. Actually your oil and water so no matter what you do the two of you won't mix.
Don't rush your progess--especially to prove a point to her. Change won't happen overnight. However you can chalk this up as a learning experience by not repeating your clinginess behavior in the future.
You don't need her just as she don't need you. There are other fish in the sea so start fishing after you change your old habits.

How are you secretive about movies and dances? Does she go without you or what?

I'm thinking you mean she is affectionate with you but only in secret. Is that correct?
I think this girl wants you to be her private toy.
Stay away from her! She will destroy the bit of self confidence you do have. I doubt she seriously wants you.

Haha that would be somewhat weird. I'll see how it goes. She still talks to me everyday and waves.

And that is supposed to mean what?
I think you can speak to her when she speaks to you, but I would not get back with her.
Having someone criticize you all the time can't be fun. Enjoy yourself. You may find someone who likes you just as you are.
