    How do I color my hair from dark brown to light brown
    I did my hair from light brown to dark brown. Now I can't go back to light> I already tried. I tried adding lemon to my hair. Even a bit of peroxide but it still doesn't work. Does anyone else have a suggestion without bleaching my hair what I can do?

    You dyed your hair to dark brown. Now you want your hair lighter.

    Hair that's already been colored can't be lightened simply by using a lighter haircoloring. The pigment that gets deposited in the hair won't lighten with peroxide or lemon juice.

    What you need to do is remove the haircoloring that's in the hair. This is done with ahaircolor remover like ColorFix, Color Oops, or Igora Phantom. These smelly products (smells like a perm) dissolve the artificial pigment and you can wash it out. Here's a web site that contains instructions for using ColorFix:

    Once you have removed the artificial haircolor, your hair will not be your natural color! The peroxide in the original dye (even though it was a dark dye, it still had peroxide in it) lightened your natural color. The hair will most likely be reddish or orange or possibly even yellow. You need to dye it again -- the color that you want it to be.
