My Fiancee' is on probation. I haven't ever heard all the details I really don't ask, it was all done before we got together all I know is it was drug related. Recently she was asked to attend a theft class, she had something's going on with her grandmother becoming really sick and forgot about the class and missed it. Now she's receiving letters in the mail about the probation possibly becoming revoked. I haven't been able to get her to show me the entire letter she just read that part to me. My question is what can we do to make this right without her having to see any jail time for this or having her probation revoked? She is doing really well, she has 2 jobs she always goes and see her P.O. she pays her dues and does her community service. This is just one minor slip up. She is afraid to call about it she doenst want them to want to pick her up for something so small. Is there anyway she could reschedule the class or something without getting into more trouble?

Being afraid to call, and consequently not calling, is about 23 times WORSE than missing the meeting in the first place.

Good reason or not she still has to attend this class. The longer she procrastinates the worse it will be for her in the end. If they are already sending revocation letters to her then she is in deep dodo and must contact her PO immediately and sign up for the class immediately or she will go to jail. What part of she has to do this class does she not understand? If she has 2 jobs she will just have to call in sick one day to attend the class. The judge will not take many different excuses except she was in the hospital. "Forgetting" is a lame excuse and will be dealt with accordingly by her judge. She is not really THAT serious about her probation and will probably end up doing some jail time.
