I`m looking for an old anime movie. I believe its from the 80`s. But I can`t remember the title!

This is what I remember from the movie;
The setting is in the future after some nuclear wars, and the only survivors are all of earths social outcasts, criminals and such. They were forced to live in sewers and caves before the nuclear war started so they survived, very ironic :P However, the main character is helping a young woman to survive if I remember correctly, and he is very good with martial arts. Actually as I remember it, everyone is this movie can kung fu. There are some very extreme fighting scenes, and some people are more powerful. And I think that the main characters brother is the leader of a group of men who control the earth, or at least the area in wich this movie takes place. At the end of the movie these brothers fight at some arena in an old ruined city.

I believe this movie is rated age18+ because there are many extreme scenes.

I would be really happy if someone else has seen this movie and remember the title =)

I believe you anime movie you are thinking of here is Fist of the North Star. Available on DVD, but be careful, there are several animated versions of this series plus one- really bad- live action movie based on these as well. I think the animated Fist of the North Star movie is the best.
