I have had a lazy eye ever since I was about two years old. It is not a horror case. My left eye has poorer vision than my right but my eye sight in both eyes is very poor. I am only 19 and already must wear glasses with prisms and bifocals and my contacts do not give me perfect vision and still make it hard to see print but I hate wearing glasses. My glasses always make my eyes look huge and buggy and are super thick and un stylish. I am far and near sighted Im very self conscious about my eyes and my left eye lid also droops slightly. Though my lazy eye and ptosis are not horrible I still long to not have to deal with them. I also fear my lazy eye or ptosis will continue to get worse as I get older. I really just want to know if any of this will worsen from here and if there's anything I can do to help it and my poor vision.

From what it sounds like, your problem is nurologicel, your muscles in your eye lids, also help your eyes focus, most people think they have bad vision, or a lazy eye, as you clearly do, your problem will get worse, if you do not see a specialist, you should see someone other than an eye doctor, or get a second opinion, most problems with dupy eyes are solveble, and the are even humanitarien grants, to achieve the care you need if you canot aford surgery.
