    My central air will not come on
    I had someone try to change a thermostat the one I had was programmable and for heating and air, just like the new one I got. I do not have central heat, I only have central air. Now the air will not work but if I turn the switch to heat the fan comes on. Please give me some ideas, I have looked for the reset button, could not find. I also changed the fuses and kicked the breaker. It is a Whirlpool a/c I can not find the model number.

    What wires do you have where on the t-stat?

    Red, yellow and green

    Oops, the yellow is hooked up to the Y the green is hooked up to the G and the red is hooked up to the W

    Red should be to r, unless the wires are mismatched at unit as well.
