    Thermostat issues
I changed the batteries in my Maple/Chase programmable thermostat when the low bat indicator came on. When I replaced them the low bat indicator is still on. I checked the new batteries they both showed 1.6 volts but nothing seems to work? I did as the instructions indicated by setting the cool/off/heat/em to off and the fan to auto before replacing. Can you help?

Did the old batteries leak? Check the battery contacts on the thermostat for corrosion or oxidation, and double-check that the batteries are installed correctly.

I had the same problem. I had to take batteries out for 30 minutes. And then tried again. I go through this every year. Good Luck!
