Did my dog have a seizure?
My dog all of a sudden started to act "drunk" in that she was walking really crooked & sideways & they her body contorted in a 1/2 circle & fell. She sat up & very still for a minute except for her eyes quickly shaking from side to side & slight head tremors. This went on for a minute, and she didn't seem to be aware of things while this was happening. It ended suddenly & she ran off like nothing had happened. This has happened on time before about 4 months ago. My dog is 1/2 yellow lab & 1/2 golden retriever & is 6 years old. Is there any known cause or solution to help prevent this? It seemed to happen both times after sniffing stuff in a field or garden.

It was most likely a seizure, my dog has had a similar episode in the past but instead of running off she was acting 'drunk' for about half an hour after it happened.

You need to get her to the vet for a check up to rule out things like epilepsy.

Sounds like it. Shaz is right, take her to the vet. Chances are they will want to pull blood, and they may send you home with diazepam as a precaution if it happens again.
Write every seizure she has down - length, what she was doing prior, what she did during, etc etc. If they continue, your vet may put her on a long term medication such as phenobarbitol or potassium bromide.

Had to spread the rep but good idea with the log book of every seizure.
