    Everything is too big on my monitor
    I have just bought a new Samsung Sync Master monitor which is widescreen.
    I have plugged the monitor into my notebook
    Everything works fine BUT everything is now double the size it should be.

    I have tried changing the resolution to be smaller/ larger and there are only 2 options...
    One makes everything double size (icons/ text/ side bars/ everything)
    The other makes everything medium size and widescreen with 2 black bars at bottom & top

    I like having everything quite small so I can see lots... Even in Outlook it's so large I can only see 4 emails in the top reading pane and the header and 1 line of the email in the bottom reading pane

    Please help!

    You need to go into the video settings, and lower the resolution or what ever, there should be resolutions such as an example like 1680x1050. Pick the one that's right. Google search the specs of your moniter and it will come up with a recommended one that will work best. Hope that helped.
