    How to get teeth whiter
    Supposedly there are 2 household ingredients that when combined guarantee to remove stains and make your teeth whiter. Only problem they won't say until you pay? Does anyone know what they are?

    * 1 tablespoon baking soda
    * 3-5 drops hydrogen peroxide, 3%
    * 1 or 2 drops mint mouth wash

    Directions

    1. Mix to make a paste, apply to toothbrush and brush teeth.

    All of the above ingredients are safe to use. Bear in mind though, this recipe will only whiten natural teeth. Will not whiten a bridge or caps.

    Remember that when you brush your teeth with baking soda it's like using Comet or Ajax on your bathtub. It can scratch the enamel due to its abrasiveness. I wouldn't recommend using it daily to brush. Try once or twice a week only.

    If your teeth are badly stained you should have a professional cleaning to get the best results from the recipe tickle gave you.

    I use baking soda 2 or 3 times a week, added to my toothpaste. You are right, not every day. Thanks, flossie !

    If you want really white teeth you have to go to your dentist to have bleaching. The outer layer of our teeth is the enamel next to that is the dentin. The dentin is the one that gives color to our teeth. If your dentin is dark yellow your teeth will be yellow. Only bleaching will make your dentin lighter hence make your teeth whiter.
