What is the law for lien on home
Mother in a nursing home. Government took lien out on home to pay for Father's care in nursing home. Can we sell the home to pay the lien and will the government take the home to pay for the care of Mother? Can we keep personal items if Government takes out a lien on the home, (frig, microwave, clothes, etc)

Yes you can keep personal items. Yes they may take the proceeds of the sale to pay for future care costs.
