    Air brakes
    My 1996 2300 mazdz pickup brake fliod was out put brake fluid in,do I need to bleed the brakes,I don't know about air brakes but my brakes are still down and dash lights (abs)and brake light still on,I am 64 year old lady and need to know how to do this have to do stuff myself,I appreciate any help.

    . Determine why the brake fluid in the master cylinder reservoir is low; e.g. leaking caliper or wheel cylinder.

    . Replace leaking item.

    . Fill master cylinder reservoir with brake fluid to the MAX Line. A good choice is Valvoline Brake Fluid, which meets Ford's HBH (Heavy Duty) brake fluid requirements. It can be used in DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake systems.

    . Bleed brakes with a One-Man Brake Bleeder, such as Harbor Freight's #98864, $3.99. Bleed in this sequence: RR, LF, LR, RF. Ensure master cylinder reservoir stays full, during the process.

    . Attach code reader or scan tool to the data link connector, under the dash, and try to reset ABS light.

    Most leaks develop in brake systems, due to not changing the fluid every two years. This replaces the lubricity, corrosion properties, and eliminates air, moisture, rust, and soft rubber contaminates.
