    Claiming child as dependent
I have custody of my son and he goes to his dads everyother weekend. He doesn't visit one night a week because his dad is on the road out of town. And when he does go to his dads its actually his grandparents because his dad lives with them. He doesn't provide him with a roof over his head. Although his dad pays $60/wk child support (which pays for hardly anything, we pay for everything. Extra curricular activities, baseball fees, its our gas to and from the ball park,

First its not a good idea to piggyback your question on someone else's. This can lead to confusion. You should start a new thread. So I've moved your question to its own thread.

The rule is that whoever provides 51% of support get to claim the dependent. Generally the primary custodial parent gets to claim the child. However, parents often agree to alternate years especially if there is significant visitation or the NCP pays a large amount of support.
