Emancipation on a teen
Ok I am 17 will be 18 in October I some times take care of my two brothers and my sister I have been doing that my whole life I have had two jobs where I helped put things in the house and take care of myself. The thing is I want to be emancipated. I can take care of myself and my soon to be husbands mom has offered me a place to stay for school and work purpose because where I work and where I go to school are near her house. As long as I help keep it clean and up some food in the house. Joel(soon to be husband) is leaving for the army.I also get out of school next year. So do you think the emancipation would be allowed?

You are 18 in FOUR months, the whole legal process takes longer than that anyway.
So wait for your birthday,

No. First, emancipation requires proof that you can sustain yourself - that means not living with someone and letting them pay most of the bills.
Second, and probably more relevant... you turn 18 in 4 months. Emancipation would easily take 6 months or more and a year wouldn't be unfounded.
Can you afford a lawyer? You would need one.

Yes, she is allowed to make you stay. As a matter of fact, she is obligated by law to do so.

Unless your parent or guardian will allow you to go, you can't go.
First you would need some proof of a need to be. You have no real need, no danger, no abuse, nothing but desire.
Also if you started today, you would be 18 before the case ever came to court.
Also someone providing you a place would not be good enough, you would have to show that you can pay rent and pay all the bills.
