Fund Maintenance for Tier 1 General Visa
My wife needs to apply for UK's Tier 1 General visa and I also need to apply as her dependent. Since there is a fund maintenance requirement of 2800 pound for her and 1600 pound for me, please clarify followings:

    1) She recently (on 16th May 2009) got her name added in a fixed deposit that was in the name of her parents. Now her name is added jointly with her parents on the fixed deposit certificate with bank's official stamp. Since that fixed deposit is for INR 180000 (principal amount) booked 2 years ago (total current value of the fixed deposit, including the interest, will be more than 2.4 Lakhs as of now), does she qualify the fund maintenance critaria?

    2) Since I also need to go along with her but another additional fund of 1600 pound is not maintained, can she get her Tier-1 General visa and then I can apply based on the same deposits she holds with her?
