AC unit coming on every 2 minutes
AC unit is coming on about every 2 minutes and running for about 2 minutes. Is this a start of a problem? Units outside fan is running, unit is cleaned off (outside) the lines have condensation on them but don't appear to be frozen and lastly the air that does blow is cold enough, just concerned there is a problem.

    Thanks

Has this been doing this for a long time?
    Is your air filter clean?
Are ALL your supply ducts open?
Is your return airs open and not blocked?
Has the thermostat been replaced lately?
What is the outside temperature when this happens?
What temperature is the thermostat set on?
When was the last time your unit was professionally serviced?
Is it just the inside unit (blower)that turns off or is it both the inside and outside units that turn off?

Has this been doing this for a long time? No just started yesterday
Is your air filter clean? Yes
Are ALL your supply ducts open? I am assuming so.
Is your return airs open and not blocked? Yes
Has the thermostat been replaced lately? No 3 years old
What is the outside temperature when this happens? 95
What temperature is the thermostat set on? 72
When was the last time your unit was professionally serviced? 8months replaced the capacitor 2 times in oneweek and routine maintenance
Is it just the inside unit (blower)that turns off or is it both the inside and outside units that turn off? Both

It did seem to regulate itself late last night staying on longer so maybe it was just the heat of the day??

How old is the thermostat. The reason I ask is because it is possible it is short cycling the unit in the cooling mode. Most thermostats use a fixed anticipator setting for the cool mode and that resistor can go bad. Brand and model of thermostat?
