My girlfriend in the hospital, and don't know why!
First off, thanks for taking the time to read this. Second, I would only like people who either have had this happen to or is a professional on this topic to answer my question.

A close friend of mine passed out in the middle of the night in the hallway. Her sister found her on the ground in a pool of blood which seems to have come from her private area. 911 was called to come out to pick her up, then she fought the nurse by slapping her in the face. They had to strap her down and sedate her. This morning she woke up in a hospital, where she does not remember anything that had happened last night... Then when I was on the phone with her a little while ago, she started calling me by her daughter's name, telling me to stop splashing in the tub...
She had not taken any sort of meds the night before. She is in her 20's. She does not use illegal drugs. The doctors have no idea what's wrong with her. I worry for her, she is a close friend and I don't want to see anything bad happen to her..

If any one can give me some advise, I would be thankful for that.

Has she even gone through any traumatic events?

    -Rape or molestation
-Death of a parent, family member or close friend
    -Divorce
    -Going bankrupt?
    -Miscarriage

These are the only things that come to mind, I'm sure there could be more added to the list.

Also, is there a history of mental illness in her family?

Thanks for responding. Yes, she is divorced and her parents both passed away... She does have a lot of personal issues. It can't be a miscarage though. It's just bizarre, how can someone do or say things that they just can't remember!? It's just not like her.

Sometimes people deal with trauma differently. This could be her way. You should tell the doctors of this- this could all be psychological.
