Our house was burglarize and the police officer caught a suspect with some of our belongings. The suspect told the police that he still have 2 accomplished.
After filing a complaint , and the public lawyer called us to attend the hearing which was postponed the lawyer told us that he will just call us or email us regarding the verdict.
That was last December 2008, we called his office and email him but until now we did not hear anything about our case.

What else we need to do? Can we get anything from the state... and also wondering why they cannot locate our expensive belongings, the only belongings returned are bags etc.

Please advice,

File a claim with the city for your belongings, and file a small claims law suit against the perps.

Your city has a CLAIMS department. I don't know how to find them. Look 'em up on the web. Look in the phone book. Go down to city hall and ask. When you find 'em, they'll tell you what you need to file and how to do it.

Small claims court?? Look 'em up in the phone book and go there. They'll tell you how to file your claim.
