    Separate residencies for taxes
I am in the military and live in SD. My wife lived in PA from 1/1/2008 to 5/30/2008 and in VA from 6/1/2008 to present. How do we file our taxes?

If your wife worked, she needs to file both PA and VA tax returns as a part-year resident.

If you filed jointly on your federal return, you will file jointly on the SD, PA and VA returns as well.
