Child in the middle of a siutation
My brother has a 3 year old son. Him and his ex-girlfriend had a child but got separated when he was born now they constantly fight about the child and never reach any compromises. Their latest fight is the following she wants to authorize her current boyfriend (who according to her have been dating for 3 years) to pick up my nephew from childcare. My brother does not want to allow it and now she wants to take my brother to court. What can my brother do in this case?

This is a legal issue so its been moved to Family Law.

First are there any court ordered custody, visitation agreements? That will depend on what rights they have.

If they are having issues with making compromises for the benefit of the child, it is best to not interfer as a third party because the issue is complicated enough.

Legally it will depend on custody and visitation, in most actuality a judge will not see an issue with this unless the boyfriend has a criminal background. There isn't any benefit to the child for the parents to bicker over every detail. Unless he never plans on never dating or having another women involved in his life or his child's or he has grave reason (other then jealousy) to be concerned, he should probably take the high road on this one. Three years is pretty steady.
