    Why are you wanting to file abandonment papers? It would help to know because many people call many things abandonment that the court does not consider abandonment so you might be wasting your time.

    You would start at family court though.

    You report the person who left your child alone at the mall or at a store or at home by thierself to the police.

    If you mean they don't visit or pay child support, you take them back to court for contempt for not paying child support.

    If you can explain what is happening, what state you live in, how long it has been since they paid state ordered child support.
