    90 civic dx idle issue
I have a 90 civic dx that was over heating and had a bad head gasket. After I put in the new gaskets and water pump, my idle has been messed up. It seems like it gets stuck. You press the gas and it stays there. The only way to get my idle down is to put my foot under the pedal and pull it back.

Does anyone know what might be wrong? I'm about to replace the throttle cable to see if that fixes it, but would like to know if anyone has any suggestions first.

That would be my guess also because the Honda shop manual warns Honda mechanics to be careful of the throttle cable when doing headgasket-I read it yesterday as I may have to replace my 91's headgasket!. Dozer
