All you can do at this time is take them to a vet and buy a lice comb. Wash them without soap and comb them (but don't let them get cold).
You can not use any chemical treatments on them and you need to get them off or they can and will kill the kittens.

You have three posts on your kittens having fleas. It is not good to do multiple posts.

I don't know about Dawn whether it is safe or not but you want to wet the kittens, keeping them warm and gently run a lice comb through their fur.
Make sure you keep sweeping your rug and furniture and washing clothing, bedding, etc...

I too am from the UK.

Fleas in kittens are quite normal but they do need to be eradicated.

My advice would be to consult either a vet or the Cats Protection League for advice.

You can by over the counter flea treatments from a pet shop but they are often not effective enough and sometimes can cause other problems.

A vet will not only be able to supply you with a good flea treatment, if you take your Queen and the kittens with you he/she will also be able to advise you about their health, neutering and vaccinations required.

The link to the Cats Protection League is:

Good luck and I hope your Queen and the kittens have a long and happy life.

Have you treated your whole house or just the kittens?

They can be re-infected from their bedding and your carpet.

Diatomaceous earth is 100% safe for animals.
It is a flour that is made from crushed up fossils... it is used in a veriety of places from cooking to pool filtration.
The powder looks like shards of glass and they get into the fleas joints seizing them up, it also scrapes the waxy coating off the fleas and dehydrates them.

You can rub it into the kittens fur and sprinkle it on bedding and carpets.

As well as this you will need to wash to kittens again in dishwashing detergent...
When you wash them start from the head and work your way down other wise all the fleas will run towards the kittens head and take 'sanctuary' in the dry parts.
