Over sized toilet flange wax ring fit
I am replacing a toilet in an upstairs bathroom. The flange is offset to the right and a STD wax ring does not look as if it would seal around the opening and or bolts. Please explain as if you were speaking to someone who has not done this before or has a plumbing back ground.

An offset flange does not require a special wax ring. If your flange surface is even with the floor surface or the flange bottom is even with the floor a single ring should do the job. They do not have to cover the bolts.

Ballangerb is correct: wax ring installs on the inside of the bolts following the opening of the closet ring.
