    Hot water bypass valve
    All,

I have a tankless hot water heater, so it takes time for the warm water to get to the tap.

I have a large soaking tub and when the water cools you turn on the hot water to warm it up. The problem is the water in the line is cold because of the tankless.

Is there a bypass valve made so that the cold water can be returned to the heater instead of the tub?

I noticed a Kohler K-7048-2X-CP Triton Bypass Valve but I am not sure what that is. Does anyone know?

    Thanks

    Paul

D'mand and others do make a recirculating system but not all tankless heater will advise this is OK. These systems may cut down on your fuel saving aspect of the tankless heater. Advanced Conservation Technologies: D'MAND Hot Water Systems

You need circ-pump system. Call your tankless supplier and ask them which one is recommended with your heater.

Is that a true soaker tub or is it plumbed for jets ?

It is a true soaker, no jets... no heater either.

I have a Aquastar tankless, recirculation is not really an option

Find out how much flow this heater needs to activate the burner. Take that information and compare it with Retrofit Recirc-Pumps like Laing. You would install this pump under the sink in the same bathroom. It will automatically bring-in hot water for you.
