Bringing fiancée from UAE to US
    Hello,
I am a US citizen and my fiancée lives in UAE. We've met many times over the past 2 years and I want to move her here legally and marry her... Our predicament comes in that in her country we are not able to be legally married because of religious reasons... although we aren't particularly young she is basically under control of her parents until she gets married and her parents definitely would not support us (again for religious reasons). Basically we do not want any possible way for her parents to figure out...

I know it seems very childish that we have to hide from her parents... but that's our reality and because of traditions/religion we are being restricted to hiding.

I'm not asking for personal opinions I simply want to know about what would be the best legal way to do this. If we apply for a K-1 would any paperwork be sent to her? Or could I handle all of the paperwork and she would simply have to only go in for the interview? Would it be easier if we get married while she's visiting america on a tourist visa, and then when she gets back to the UAE apply for a K-3?

After reading a lot about this subject I realize that marrying on a tourist visa and applying for adjustment of status could, and would probably get us charged with visa fraud... and is basically a last resort, if that.

As an adult, your fiancée does not need to disclose anything to her parents. The K-1 starts in the US with your petition and after the approval, she schedules the visa interview appointment with the US consulate.

important note, in the unlikely case AMCON investigates, they are very likely to ask her parents about her fiancée. this will be very problematic as they will answer truthfully that they do not know of your engagement or plans. This is likely to be seen as evidence of visa fraud.

What exactly is AMCON, and what would prompt them to investigate us?

Would you suggest that I contact an immigration lawyer for help with all of this process?

American Consulate. The only reason they would investigate if there were any fraud indicators in the visa application.

K-1 is a two-step process, USCIS then AMCON for visa issuance, neither is difficult, but it is always easier if you have an attorney assist.
