Tub fiberglass drain hole has a chip out of it
Help while trying to repair a broken drain in my tub the drain piece was stuck and had to be wrenched on to get it out, this caused a chip in the actual hole from the tub that you would thread the new piece in to, I put in a new drain and used the gaskets provided and some plumbers putty and its leaking terrible. I don't want to buy a whole new tub and go through all that expense and mess for a chip. Any ideas?:(

It won't let me upload them to this window, so I am not sure how to get them to this area, I have tried multiple times and it won't let me upload.

They are probably too big. Reduce them in size first, upload and repost.

It is bad. But, let's try something... There should be large black washer between the tub and the drain. I don't see it in the posted photos. That washer is slightly larger than the white, flat portion of the drain that pushes against the tub. Try to put this washer back on top of it. Push drain more towards the broken side until that washer covers the broken piece. There is a little play in the drain opening. Looks like the flange will cover the hole. Put putty under the flange and screw it in. See what it does... Let me know how you did... Milo

Or you can install a doubler, find a piece of fiberglass make a hole that the drain fits and cut it circle to cover the damage area feed under the tub, if it doesn't go through the hole cut it in half, you can install some countersunk cherry max rivets or you can glue it use sealant, see the image, Thanks.
