How to get out of a position
So I know that I need to get out of the "Entertainment Company" that I've been "working" for. Its shady.

A little background: I answered an ad for a "photography intern" and met these guys that were starting an entertainment company and doing club promotion for a bar near my house. Well, first night, we all went out, they loved me and they moved me up to operations and still wanted me to do photography. So I've been working with them, working on their website, doing research and promoting like no other. Our Grand Opening at this club was May 15. The numbers were bleak. The other companies on other nights started the same time as us and have been filled to capacity with lines outside every single week. Our numbers have gotten worse. Last night there were 35-50 people at 1am.

They decided that no one is getting paid until the end of the summer, but the club owners are firing them within the next week (or after next friday) if the numbers aren't better. They don't know this yet, but I do because the club owners want me to do my own night. Last night they were all drinking, high on marijuana and some of them had even taken muscle relaxers on top of all of it. And the previous week they got the brilliant idea to bring in their own bottle and were drinking it, got caught by the bartender and tried to hide it.

I don't want to be part of this. I know its heading for trouble. There is no follow through and its frustrating. So how do I tell them that I want out without it being a huge problem?

I don't feel like they depend on me at all. They ask me to do things, and then the owner goes behind my back and goes with something else after I've done tons of research and phone calls.

Thanks in advance, sorry its long!

Before you get arrested right along with them you tell them you're sorry, this hasn't worked out as you had planned (or you need to make more money or you have another job) and, so, regretfully, you are quitting.

Yeah, that's what I was thinking. I don't do drugs, and I just don't want that lifestyle. Plus its not like I'm getting paid, and all the input I put in, he goes behind my back and does something else anyway.

    Thanks!
