    Stench pipe location
How near can next door's stench pipe be below our bedroom window (semi). Can kitchen waste pipes be located into the stench pipe?

Chapter 14, Section 14.4, (Location of Vent Terminal) of the Standard Plumbing Code states,
No vent terminal from a drainage system shall be located directly beneath any door, window, or other ventilating of the building or of a adjacent building, nor shall any such vent teminal terminate under the overhang of the building or be within 10-feet horizontally of such a opening unless it is at least 2-feet above such opening.

If there is no other fixtures draining into the vent stack above the tie in point it's acceptable for the kitcen sink to connect to it.
However, if other fixtures are draining into the vent stack from above then the kitchen sink will have to have its own vent.
It would be a good idea to contact your buildibg inspector about this probem. Cheers, Tom
