    My Dogs Keep Fighting & We Might Have to Get Rid Of Them! I don't want them gone!
    I'm 12 years old and my birthday is in 2 days. I have 4 crazy dogs. 2 big and 2 small. Well the big ones keep fighting and they both have bitten my mom. My Aussie was the first to bite her when she tried to break up the fight. Just recently, my German Shepherd bit her when she again broke up a fight. If we don't get them under control we will ether have to get rid of them both or just one. I don't want to have to get rid of them, I love them too much. Please help.:(:(

    As bad as it feels if they keep fighting to the point that someone gets bit the best thing to do is find at least one of them a good home.

    Do you have big enough house that you can keep them separated?

    Can you get on a schedule where you leave them out in the yard at separate times?

    Firstly, what sexes are the two big dogs?
    Are they desexed?

    Two (or even one) entire males will fight like crazy.
    If they were neutered after 3 years of age this can also be a cause of aggression as even though they are neutered they still have the mindset that other males = competition.

    Fighting and aggression can be improved with proper training.

    Look in your phone book and search for Professional Dog Trainers.
    They can cost a bit of money for one on one sessions but it is much more effective than self training in situations like this.
