    Child Custody
    I have filed for full custody for my 3 year old son. I've given him visitations every other weekend and odd 5th weekend of the year. I have my proof of service he's been served. He wants to see his son which is the 1st weekend of the month. Are the visitations in affect now? The hours of pick up and time are in affect? What will happen if he doesn't return my son at said time? These papers were filed at Los Angeles Superior Court. Thanks for your immediate response.

    Until a court awards the visitation, technicnally nothing is in effect.

    One of our CA experts will likely chime in, but I *believe* that he is not obligated to return the child until the court order is issued, but since the action has been filed, its possible that I am wrong.
