    FMLA Do I qualify?
    Hey All!
My daughter has to have surgery and I'm out of Sick and Vacation time and she needs care for 2 weeks! Do I qualify for FMLA. I have had the same job for over 2 years and I'm full-time.

    Thanks!

Have you contacted your HR department, they may also have a STD.

FMLA protects your job, it doesn't pay you for your time off.

I believe if I remember my class from last week, it has to be @ 50 employees ( average)

And they have to be given notice of the absence

It is 50 employees within 75 miles of the workplace, you will be responsible for paying your normal cost of any medical benefits you currently receive, AND you are required to give them 30 days notice on all foreseeable events, which can include surgeries.
