    Fan wiring schematic needed
I have a regency ceiling fan model AC552 Or AC 532. It is hard to read info on fan. I was trying to trace the wiring and accidentally fulled on a gray wire that came out. I don't know what it is for. It went up the pipe but did not exit at the other end of the pipe. I think it went into the motor housing. I hate to completely disassemble the fan but I might have to unless you have a suggestion.

    Thanks,

Which end came disconnected. The end in the motor or the end in the switches?

It was the end that went into the motor. It was attached to one of the windings. I had to disassemble completely the unit to get to the problem. I have it working now. Thanks for your reply.

If you opened the motor and reattached one of the winding leads, you're head and shoulders above the majority of people I've met. Congratulations.
