    Mulch
I need some good advice on what type of Mulch I should use for around my rose bushes to help keep away weeds that grow inside the bush and all around the area of the bush ? Any recommendation of a good ground cover before I put the mulch down would be a great help as well . HELP

I am a constant gardner, but not one who inhabits rose bushes, per se. My mom was, however, have some and have to get down on hands and knees as she did and take out every little weed and blade of grass that pops up within the rose bush area. I am thinking, from the one I have, that it doesn't belong in the middle of my lawn any longer because it doesn't allow a clean sweep with the lawn mower. However, I digress.

Rose bushes are the type of plants, grassl23, that need your specialized attention is what I am trying to say. You will have to get personal with the weeds my friend because you have to be so absolutely careful what you introduce your rose bushes too. I know they like bone meal, but mine don't get any cause I don't want them but they are thriving.

Tickle is right. Great roses require great care and constant pruning , this is usually the best time for an inspection for bugs any where .
As far as Mulch, Where are your roses located ? What surrounds them ? These are all important things to keep in mind as far as bug control and feeding goes .
