    Timer won't shut off
I have a timer to turn my outside light on and off. I got a new lantern for it cause the old one was bent and rusted and every time it rained the bulb would go out. Now the timer will turn on when it should but not shut off. I can turn it off manually but this is inconvenient for me to do everyday. The old lantern had one light bulb the new one has two. The timer is only about one year old. I did call the electrician who installed that but haven't heard back from him yet. Can anyone help? Thank you Janene

Changing the light fixture should not have affected the timer unless you turned the power off and the timer got out of sync. Does the time have the correct time? Is it correct as far as AM/PM.

Yes it is set correctly. I went down and reset the off time. I noticed the tripper was not tight so maybe that is the problem?? I guess I'll wait until tonight to see if it shuts off for me. Thank you for your help. If I am wrong on this being the problem do you have any other suggestions? Thank you Janene
