Unky, a piñata is a hollow container (usually shaped like a donkey or some other animal). It's usually filled with candies and is a main attraction at kids' birthday parties or other festivities. The participants are blindfolded and given a stick to take swings at the piñata trying to break it so the candy spills out. I believe it's a Mexican-born game.

Hey NM! :) Oh that is called a piñata! Shazzy made a typo, but neither piñata is in my dictionary... :(

I've seen some on TV... I've never seen Mauritians do that though. Only a big party at a resto or at the person's place, with gifts and all the stuff.

How are you Unky? Yeah, I think it's a Mexican tradition although many Americans do it because it's fun.

    What's a resto?
