Low pressure in *only* hot water
In one bathroom in my home, the hot water in the tub is extremely slow. It's down to almost a trickle. The cold water in this same tub runs great with full pressure. In the same bathroom, the toilet runs great and so does the sink, both hot and cold.

Our home is only 5 years old and we have had this problem almost since we moved in. It has recently gotten worse to where the shower cannot be used (unless you want a cold shower).

Any suggestions on this? I'd like to try to fix the problem before I contact a plumber.

    Thanks.

It appears you have some obstruction in hot water side cartridge.

Close water for the whole house, remove trim, remove cartridge, clean it (or get new one from Home Depot / Lowe's ), reinstall it, reinstall trim, turn water back on.

    See if that helps...

Thanks. That seems to be the problem though I haven't gotten it completely fixed yet. We took the valve/cartridge out and cleaned out a bit of debris. After looking over the valve, I think it was defective. We searched everywhere for a replacement and no one has it. We finally found one a few towns over at a local shop and will hopefully swap them soon. Thanks so much for your help.
