Kenmore Elite Washer 110.23032102 sometimes won't spin/drain water
Hello,

I have a Kenmore Elite washer model 110.23032102 that, most of the time, does not spin when it gets to the rinse cycle. When it does spin on it's own (sometimes I can get it to spin by playing with the control know and moving it to the next spin cycle) it does not always spin enough to drain all the water. I'd appreciate any ideas on what to do. Thanks.

Soulman4ever- this is one cause _ there are two soleniods that makes the machine agitate or spin
If one or the other is defective or becoming defective the machine will not do as it should : these soleniods are electriclly actuatted they put the transmission into geat to either agiate or spin:: you will find them at the motor underneath< :: to test them you will need a {volt-ohm meter <if you don't have one <you can get one at lowe's in the electrical dept> <for about $15.00 : make sure you get one that you can test at least 250 volts a/c power ;; note on some modles <you have to remove the motor and take to a shop to be repaired> because they are built in ternal:: ;lets get started:: (#1- )go ahead and set your meter to (rx-100 scale:: pull the power cord out of the wall ::pull the washer out from the wall :: there should be a access panel near the bottom- remove the panel , find the soleniolds on the motor :( #2- to test the soleniolds _ remove one of the wires from one of the soleniolds <clip the meter probes to the wire terminals :: if the meter reads 250 to 1000 ohms , the soleinold is good; if the meter reads higher then it is defective {replace} if ok replace wire you took off:: now do the other soleniold the same way:: the books say that if one soleniold is bad to replace both at the same time::( #3- )here are some more reasons - ( 1) drive belt is -loose or broken and slipping (#2)- timer is defective::( #3)- lid safety switch is out of adjustment or broken::(#4)- basket is jammed by clothing caught underneath it (#5) - washer load is unballenced or is overloaded:: (#6) - machine is draining poorly;; i hope what i said first is the reason :: i always found this to be the cause about 65% of the time -- if it is'nt then come back to this post and we will do the others :: have a better day and god bless ::: f.b.e.
