    Heat and thermodynamics
    How can I solve this problem?

    The problem is:

    Find the total heat needed to evaporate 200 g of ice at -5 degrees celsius in a 175 grams beaker.

    You need to include the two phase changes.

    First, find the energy to raise the temperature of the ice cube to 0 Celsius
    Then, find the amount of energy required to melt the ice.
    Afterwards, find the energy to raise the water temperature to 100 Celsius
    Finally, find the amount of energy required to evaporate the water.

    You should know your equations;

    for changes in temperatures

    for changes in state.

    The 175 gr beaker is there to confuse you. Don't use it.
