    A relative has been charged with theft three and possession of marijuanna , he has a criminal record , should he plead guilty or not?

    Hello r:

    I don't know. If he just wants to lay down, and spread 'em wide, a guilty plea will do that.

    But, if he's NOT guilty, or there's a chance he can beat the charge, he shouldn't plead guilty.

    Always plead not guilty. You can always change your mind later on to guilty but you can't change your mind and plead guilty and then not guilty. Doesn't work that way.
