    Brainstorming, need your input
Can we do some brainstorming here... I want people to contribute if they are willing, any info regarding diabetes type 2... I myself was diagnosed with t2 diabetes, but at the moment I am still bordeline(I hoped) so just controlling it with diet and exercise... anyway... I need your input e.g. what food you eat, drink, canned goods, take away food, fast food, what time you eat your breakfast, lunch, dinner, do you skip breakfast, how many times you eat in a day, do you have supper, do you have midnight snack, do you stay late, do you drink beer, wine, do eat lots of sweets, what cooking oil you are using at home, any changes the way you eat before, your nationality, anything you can think of before you were diagnosed with t2 diabetes... and if I get a lot of input here. If you don't want to input anything, just don't make a any comment, this is only for those people who are willing... simple if you want make some input, if you don't want just ignore this thread... :)

I have diabetes 2, my dad had diabetes 1 and lost both his legs many years ago. Diabetes is genetic by the way. I have always led a healthy lifestyle, now with type 2 I carry on the way I did, never miss a meal, don't snack, don't feel the need, no before bed snack. Medications on time every day and always after food. Lots of water. Major organs in the body essentially need to stay healthy with diabetes, kidney function must be maintained.

I take one metformin a day (diabetes med) which is good after three years after diagnosed.

sometimes I disagree when they say its genetic or hereditary,, my theory is if the parents are diabetic, or just the partner, the children inherit or imitate what the parents are doing in terms of their food habit, their lifestyle... and so presto diabetes will be passed on to their children... does this make sense... I can't remember where I read an article that the chinese (who lives in china) have a low case of diabetes, but when they migrated to america, the incident rose dramatically... my theory again, lots of fast food and takeaways in western world... tell me do you know which country has the lowest case of diabetes?
