    Meyers Model HJ75S
We have a Well Water Pump that was working fine this morning. Went to shed to start laundry and it drained the tank and expected the pump to kick back on but it did not.
We replaced the Electrical Pressure 30/50 PSI switch and all it is doing now is hum. We checked the electrical wires with a meter and it is hot. The only sound we are hearing is a hum, sounds like it is from the switch. The pump does NOT come on at all.

    What do we do now?

The first thing I would recheck is the wiring. Sounds like you're attempting to run a 220 motor on 110 or half a leg. Let us know what you find. Good luck, Tom

The only thing we changed was the Switch. The pump was already in existence and wired.

This is an above ground pump right? IF so, it may have a bad capacitor. Either that, or the pump is seized up. If you can post a pic of the pump, I will try to help you locate the cap.

I do not have the ability to post a picture. Where is the capacitor usually located?
If the pump is seized up, what do I need to do?

They had marked the wires to make sure they are connected to the same posts. The wiring is what was running on the last. We tested it with a meter to make sure the wires were hot and all of them are hot.

Usaully the capcitor is either located at the end of the motor under a removeable cover, or on top of the motor under a removable cover. If pump is seized, then you will need to tear pump apart from motor and see if it's the motor that's seized, or the pump itself. IF motor is stuck, then you will need a new motor, if pump is stuck you can order a repair kit which will include bearings and impeller with gaskets. Or just buy a whole new pump.
