    MTD deck bearings
I have an MTD 14.5/42 mower that I got at an auction. It has run great for the past 5 years but is having issues this year. I had a service guy look at it and he said the bearings have gone out on the spindles now. I don't know the model or serial number since they have worn off the decal and the only numbers left there are 1183A AC. How do I find the parts and would it be really difficult to just do it myself or do I have to let the shop have it for another couple of weeks until they finally get around to doing something with it?

    Thanks!

Maybe mtd can do a partial number search.

You can get the bearing number off the bearing and order one. I can find two company names if I look.

You may need s press to put them in.
