What is the legal age that brothers and sisters can no longer share a bedroom / sleep in the same room. My eldest daughter is 12, my son 11, my youngest daughter 8. we live in a 2 bedroom house. They all share 1 bedroom. My local council won't help, what can I do?:confused:

Also just to add to the above, my children are educated on what is right and wrong sexually, I have just read a similar question someone else as asked. I have no worries there. Its just the privacy side of things, growing girl/boy. They need space etc. when my husband was 6 and his sister 11 the concil made the family move to a bigger house. Has the law changedsince then?

There is no legal definition as to this in most parts of the US

I raised two girls and a boy and at age 11 the boy is going to want his own space soon. My son hated sharing anything with his sisters at that age. He would when he really wanted too. My son always had his own room. I just feel that boys and girls need their own space.

In my openion, logically thinking from a fathers point of view, the children shold be sleeping separately from the age of 7. I am talking aout separating brothers and sisters. If there are two rooms you make sure that they still don't sleep together in such a way that they go and hug each other . May be you can provide double beds... But should be monitored well at nights while asleep. The best way is to separate them early at the age of 7. And I am sure they will do fine. And once they are well monitored until the age of 18... They will tell you what they wants. I am not a counseller nor an expert but logically thinking and experience from my parents tell me what I am saying is right...
