My dependent child's 1099-INT for savings bonds

My child has a 1099-INT for cashing in Savings Bonds which was used for College. The bonds were in her name. I am claiming her as my dependent so does she have to claim the interest. I am claiming her tuition expenses which the interest was used for. I'm confused.:confused:
